The Friends of Edison are a passionate group of creative, historically minded and innovative folks dedicated to keeping generations loving the legacy of Thomas Edison. Together, we help raise funds to preserve artifacts in his West Orange National Park and share his ideas.
With so many ways to contribute, we hope you’ll find a way to help that meets your wanting to be a part of something amazing while exploring the Edison Legacy.
PRESERVATION & LEGACY
Together, we help raise funds to preserve artifacts and share Edison’s ideas in his West Orange National Park.
The Thomas Edison National Historical Park receives federal funding, as do all the National Park Service locations. However, those funds do not cover all of the conservation work needed to extend the Edison legacy. That’s where we come in! Since 1984, our group has partnered with the National Historical Park to preserve, promote, and protect both the Edison Laboratory and his home, Glenmont, in West Orange, NJ.
OUR RECENT PROJECTS
WE’RE VERY PROUD THAT SINCE 2007, WE’VE RAISED OVER 15 MILLION DOLLARS IN EDUCATING AND
PRESERVING THE LEGACY OF THOMAS EDISON AND HIS INNOVATION
While we’re proud of our accomplishments, we need your help for some really
exciting new projects coming up this year.
